The company is led by owner Allen Francis Nelson, who entered the glass industry in 1976, working for Float Glass. He then establised Nelson Glass in 1993 but sold it in 1995 to take up a position in The All Glass Group. In 1997 he was afforded the opportunity to purchase mirrors galore (pty) ltd t/a peacock glass which is now known as mirrors galore cc t/a peacock glass.

Peacock Glass is 100% black owned with a level 1 rating.
